New Music

98 Rock needs your help. We've been sent a lot of new music; some of the tracks have been garbage but the other tracks have great potential, possibly even song of the summer. We want your feedback on these songs. Is this band the next best thing or should we run far away instead? By going to 98Online, you can listen to clips of some of our new music and vote for which ones you like. Your feedback will directly affect which songs receive more airtime.

When you go to the 98 Rock website, scroll down to the Mobcast section (pictured below) and click on the tab that says new music.

Here's a head's up on some of the new music to look forward too.

First is Baroness who is back with a new studio album entitled Yellow & Green. Their lead single "Take My Bones Away" has been blowing up on the internet, with rave reviews from Pitchfork and The Washington Post. Click Here to listen to the full version of the song.

Next is New Medicine. These guys are hard rockers from Minneapolis who like to have a lot of fun with their music. Their latest single, "Rich Kids" is from their debut smash, Race You To The Bottom. New Medicine is also big fans of 98 Rock. They stopped by for a visit a while back to play us their first hit, "Laid". Check it out below.

Another new song to check out is "The Celestials" by rock gods The Smashing Pumpkins. The song is off their latest album, Oceania, which just came out at the end of June. The Pumpkins new tune deliver making you feel like it's 1995 again or even one of their favorite year, "1979." Click below to watch the Pumpkins perform "The Celestials" at the iheartradio Theater in New York.

Finally, make sure to check out "Figure It Out" by Serj Tankian. Serj is the lead singer of System of a Down, and just embarked on another solo project entitled Harakiri. The album is hard rocking and has been given rave reviewed from critics, many of whom praise Serj's lyrics. Check out the music video for "Figure It Out" below.

On a final note, if you are a 98 Rock Freeloader, you can receive points by Clicking Here and giving us your opinions on the new music. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. We really appreciate your feedback.
